About Philly Music Lab
Philly Music Lab was created in 2015 by three Philadelphia-based professional musicians who recognized a need for better infrastructure to support musicians operating outside of traditional genres such as classical, jazz and rock. With their seemingly endless thirst for new and different genres, audiences in Philadelphia have a rich tradition of embracing musicians of all stripes and helping them carve out a following.
PML’s founders realized that there were many great musicians playing high-quality, cross-genre music who were struggling to be heard, network with one another, and find support for their music. Conversely, audiences were craving innovative, first-rate performances but were having trouble connecting to musicians. Philly Music Lab was established to connect these musicians to the audiences seeking them and to provide a network of like-minded artists who want to support and grow Philadelphia’s robust and diverse musical landscape.
