Samantha Wittchen
Chief Creative Officer
A graphic designer, engineer and musician, Samantha sets creative direction for Philly Music Lab and executes marketing, branding and social media strategy, in addition to developing overall strategic vision with Philly Music Lab’s CEO, Alexandra Cutler-Fetkewicz. With over ten years experience as a freelance designer for multiple industries, she brings a depth of experience in marketing and design that she hopes will benefit the larger Philly Music Lab community of musicians. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, and she has taught workshops on creating infographics for use in education.
Trained as a classical harpist at the Eastman School of Music (where she met co-founder Alexandra), she freelances throughout eastern Pennsylvania and teaches harp at University of Pennsylvania and privately. Her favorite performances are the ones that use the harp in unique settings or ways that make the audience say, “Wow. I never knew a harp could do that.” She believes that people want participatory musical experiences where they can connect to music and musicians in more intimate ways outside of concert halls and clubs.
Samantha holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and is also co-founder of iSpring, a sustainability consulting firm focused on improving environmental performance of companies and organizations in Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley.
